Establishment of the World Union of Arab Bankers (WUAB)

Casablanca, 26 April, 2006

The World Union of Arab Bankers, referred to as WUAB was established on the 26th of April 2006 in accordance with the decision of the Board of Directors of the Union of Arab Banks in its meeting held in Casablanca – Morocco, which incited Arab banking leaders to form a world union that would weave ties among prominent Arab bankers and finance experts working in Arab and international markets, so as to foster cooperation among them in view of serving their common interests and further developing the Arab banking and financial industries.
